About Us
Welcome to “Sēlijas (Augšzemes) Vides Aizsardzības Asociācija”, a non-profit environmental organization based in Latvia and devoted to protecting nature, strengthening communities, and promoting sustainable living throughout the historic region of Sēlija (Augšzeme). Our organization was established with a deep commitment to preserving the natural beauty, biodiversity, and ecological balance of the environment while encouraging responsible and environmentally conscious development for future generations.
At our core, we believe that nature is one of humanity’s most valuable treasures. Forests, rivers, wetlands, wildlife, and green landscapes are not only essential parts of the environment but also important elements of cultural heritage, public health, and community well-being.
